Made my first trip to Huntley Meadows in Fairfax County, VA. this morning. This was also my first time seeing a Hooded Merganser in person. So, I'm pretty happy to have got this photo with the reflection.

Made during one of my morning walks in the woods. I think I am going to miss "my" woods if and when I get back to Wyoming.

One of our October sunsets with Colorado wildfire smoke... after those fires went out we were in the clear again.

Represents new birth and regeneration.
At the site of the former Cadeby and Denaby collieries, beside Conisbrough station. Earth centre is a visitor and education attraction. (though closed at the time of our visit)
I/we had a drive to Doncaster, purely from a rail interest point of view, any how we decided to have a train ride out to Conisbrough, in order to view, albeit partially, Roberts Rd depot, having tried several viewing points on foot,
all in all a good day, having seen 66794 and 66797.
My brother, i think it was, had spoken about the "Earth centre"
though, until i saw the tree, from the station, i had forgotten about it.
....i hope you have some! Happy Fence Friday!

The sun had exhausted us, made feverish; now the fog quietens us, to return into ourselves. The open windows are like shut windows, don't offer visions but only curtains of grey. It's time to close them and rediscover the home
I didn't start participating in the weekly challenges till October of this year so I chose to do one of the challenges that I missed earlier this year. #MacroMondays #Redux2017 #MyFavoriteThemeoftheYear
Just made it home for a long road trip up to Montana and Glacier National Park. This park was a bucket list destination for me and as luck would have it, some days opened up at this hotel. 2700 miles of open road, 25.8 miles of hiking (in 2.5 days), 6 bears (two Grizzly and 4 black), big horn sheep, billy goats, moose, and tons of great memories. I took this one on our first evening there as we came back from some hiking.
