* I made my annual pilgrimage to RSPB Bempton on Wednesday evening . It was unusual weather on the cliffs, warm and still instead of the usual chilly East wind . It obviously effected the birds the Gannets in particularly were flying much lower down the cliffs instead of being at eye level. It made flight shots much more difficult . I have to say I was not too concerned about getting too many images . I still have a lot of photos from Bempton in the archives from 2018, 2019 and 2020
This is one of the few I did take as I was using a long lens 500 mm I could not get it wide enough to catch all the Gannets wing . Stepping back to get a wider view would have been difficult Still I am quite happy with the result.

The Macro Mondays theme for 2/14 is love. This is one of the many pieces of art made by my DD for various occasions— this one is a stylized daisy, which is my favorite flower. Only captured one quadrant in order to stay within the size parameters. This is probably going to be my posting for the day!! (there were six i posted :)

Made from a collage of mine of bedroom doors open and I also went to Duygu Bruce website and found a picture of Hypnos, the God of Sleep and his Powers and copied it and abstracted it. European Wasp (Vespula germanica)
While photographing the Leaf Hopper this one landed on a leaf on the Quince tree, just eight inches from my face! One quick shot and I departed hastily!
What to do while waiting for the tide to drop and the sun to set, make a stone sculpture. This one was quite rushed as the sun was setting quickly, but that made it more fun. Made of stone is by The Stone Roses, and seems right. One day , when I've got the time , I'll have to make a really big one .
