I love this combination of colors. I did not alter the photo. This is how it grew...beautiful & perfect.

A mixture of water droplets. But they all end up green and muddy purple.

A purple Periwinkle flower in dappled Spring sunlight.

It's proper name is Vinca minor and is an evergreen subshrub.

Its ground cover and kills most weeds but doesn't twine around other plants. There is lots of it here in Delaware.

Captured on campus with iPhone and Olloclip Macro Lens.

Edited on the iPad in Snapseed and then in Fotograf for further black and white editing.

nice detail on this member of the snipe fly family, rhagionidae - probably chrysopilus modestus

i need to read up on snipe flies, as there are likely more around me that i’ve been observing than i was aware of, not being familiar w/ them until just recently

was incorrectly identified originally as belonging to the long-legged fly family

Orquídea abejera rosada (Ophrys tenthredinifera)

This cheeky damselfly was most definitely posing!

is this ambush bug on the job or just enjoying the view? not a lot of action from these little critters that i've been able to witness, and this one's certainly taking no great effort to blend in and conceal itself
