This time of year it's not hard for me to find Spiky. I just put on a wool shirt and take a walk. I'll come home with a handful of these things clinging to me. These are Xanthium or cocklebur seed pods. They have hooks at the end of each spike that catch in the fibers of your clothes or in your dogs fur. Thanks for stopping to look and for any comments pro or con. HMM!

Origami based on the dna double helix model by the late Thoki Yenn. I used a small sheet of paper in the proportions of a dollar bill to stay within the 3" rule.

Picked this up in 1985, I believe. My family and I had flew out to California to visit my Mother who lived out there at that time. This was a fun place to visit and I would like to go their again, some day!
