Macro Mondays - Hexagon
Image measures 1 3/4" on the long side
I had the bowl sitting on holographic paper with a black lens cap inside. I tried other colored items - purple ornament, tomato, peach, etc - but the black looked the best. Light from north window.
Happy Macro Monday! : )
People often think that breaking a mirror may bring you bad luck for 7 years.

There is now a clearer picture of this item (before I pulled it apart) in my photostream.
In Denmark, people with skills in paper cutting do things like this during Easter to send a secret message to friends... this one is from a very special person. You -as receiver- have to guess who made the paper cutting...

It was a beautiful sunny day on Cabbage Key, Florida - paradiseonearth !! - when I looked into this eye during a stroll along the beach. (zoom in - and it will look at you ;)
Each time I look at it again nowadays I can dream myself back there. A HMM to everybody here.
Wie oft ich doch darob erschrecke,
Was eine Muschel ist, was Schnecke,
Ist nach wie vor fast unbekannt.
Doch leicht kennt man sie auseinand',
wenn man genauer sie beschaut.
Ein Schneckenhaus ist aufgebaut
Stets nur aus einem einz'gen Teil,
Die Muschel hat, selbst wenn sie heil,
Der Klappen zwei! Drum ist zumeist,
Ein Schneck', was man 'ne Muschel heißt.
