A Heart of Gold can be heavier
Than a Heart of Stone
But the Loving Heart breaks sooner
Than the Heart of Gold
However, both should be handled
With Love & Care

I actually sold the lens that this was taken with yesterday, a manual Fujinon from the 70s, but before doing so I wanted to provide the new owner with some examples of what it could produce. So I put an extension tube on my camera and went out to take some poppy shots with the lens, about 10 feet outside my back door. There I was, rocking back and forth trying to get some kind of focus on these poppy seeds when out of nowhere this hoverfly flew straight into the shot just as I was pressing the shutter. Brilliant I thought - my photo for Macro Monday's Eye theme has just produced itself! I love it when things just fall into place. If only all of my macro Mondays shots were that easy!
A commemorative trinket from 1976. It also ties in with this weekend's US Holiday. For a measurement see this photo. Happy Macro Monday everyone.
Gloria The Gift of Life.
Words and music by Jonas Myrin, Robert Ezrin and Ed Cash.
Sung by Andrea Bocelli.
the macromonday theme is coffee and there are 3 here to choose from-- all variations on a theme (or themes, i should say). this seems to be one that people liked more than the one where the cup says coffe
For this week’s Macro Mondays ‘Corner’ theme, I have chosen to photograph a stamp. The thing that caught my eye was the perforations, but with negative space (from last weeks theme) still in my mind, the outcome was probably quite predictable!
The stamp in this image was part of the 2013 commemorative Christmas issue from the Royal Mail. This is the 2nd class stamp titled ‘Madonna and Child’. It must have been hanging around in a draw for a few years as it was only used last week!
Very simple lighting for this image: natural light from a window.
