Whole universe is connected with time. Connecting every second is making Minutes, Connecting every Minutes makes an Hour and Connecting every hours makes a day and dat to week, week to month, month to year and years to century ....... HMM
the macromonday theme for this week (8/6) is decay. been watching and photographing this cucumber for a couple of days now ~grin~. leaving it out of the refrigerator might have hastened its demise, but i wasn't ready to deal with the results.
btb, this was taken inside my frig-- any excuse to get some cool air!!
They are everywhere - and still not easy to choose for a foto. As it's getting time to think of Christmas presents, I chose these little helpers for packing parcels.
Wishing everybody a happily dotted and striped MM.
The capture above is foil with quite a smooth surface (originally) and a lovely dullish scratched looking sheen, As you can see (from the surface) I have scoured, my hope was to give a Quilted effect.
I would have liked (for my entry) foil milk bottles tops (red/gold/green) that the milkman delivered on the doorsteps over 60 years ago but sadly I could not find them.
I did play around with a few ideas but eventually, it was the " fabric look-alike" from "FOIL" I went for.

the macromonday group's theme for today, 12/3, is balance.
i can be SO literal at times.
this one is in pretty close and again the details are pretty crisp for it being hand-held. ~grin~ found these metallic and magnetic people at a church bazaar on saturday........ am dithering a bit because i also really like the hydrangea bud (see the first comment box for the b&w version of the metallic people and the hydrangea bud)

This is a sandwich sold in convenience store everywhere in Japan. The left one is ham-cutlet and the right one is fried noodles. Anyway usually we ate it for lunch. HMM!
Macro Mondaysの今日のお題は、パンとトッピングです。私は、駅前のコンビニで見つけたハムカツ&焼きそばサンドを撮ってみました。
...this childhood keepsake was given to me by my wonderful sister, Anita. As children we sat together on Saturday mornings to watch our favorite cartoons. Felix the Cat was enjoyed by us both...she gifted me this treasured item over twenty-five years ago. I miss her dearly and that great sounding laughter of hers, but often look at my desktop and, to this day, can remember and hear the sound of her voice...
Taken for the group MacroMondays. Theme: #Balance
What does the word 'balance' mean to me ?
Defying gravity is how I see the word, but of course it has many meanings. For an idea for a macro it was a question of balancing some thing on some thing to defy gravity which was a real challenge as I discovered. I tried lots of different materials but settled on three glass nuggets balancing on top of each other. Trying to balance four glass nuggets proved impossible, gravity won every time! It was not as easy to do as I first thought, a question of patience on my part trying to find the exact spot to balance each nugget, keeping my cool and not breathing too hard and then lighting the scene required further patience but I'm pleased with the result!
