Basil leaf
Ocimum tenuiflorum (synonym Ocimum sanctum), commonly known as holy basil, tulasi (sometimes spelled thulasi) or tulsi, is an aromatic perennial plant in the family Lamiaceae. It is native to the Indian subcontinent and widespread as a cultivated plant throughout the Southeast Asian tropics.
The health benefits of holy basil, also known as tulsi, include oral care, relief from respiratory disorders, as well as treatment of fever, asthma, lung disorders, heart diseases, and stress.
My parents bought this miniature gnome (less than 1" high) the year I was born. It is the only remaining member of what I remember as quite a large set. There was a time when it was a holiday decoration; now it lives all year in my kitchen.

This is the magnet that I bought on one of our many trips to Virginia beach. My husband grew up eating blue crabs. This magnet on our fridge in our camper reminds me of the blue crabs that we always eat when we go to visit our families on the east coast.

Desde niña siempre me encantó seleccionar y recoger conchas y piedrecillas en la playa y hasta día de hoy.
En los primeros viajes de mi marido a Londres, fué todo un detalle por su parte, seguir aumentando mi pequeña colección de detalles procedentes del mar y así se convirtieron en "souvenirs".
Qué mejor que ayer colocar esta estrellita junto a las olas matutinas y acariciada por los primeros rayos de sol....

Summer is over and i guess this little beauty wouldn't have much life left - roll on next spring when the marvel of nature starts all over again..Yes the image is from a few weeks back but i wanted to celebrate the end of life for a creature that has probably flown hundreds or thousands of miles in it's short life...
