SIFRNG Macro extenstion tubes - taken using ring no.3 & Tamron 18-250mm lens. Playing around with my shamefully cheap new toy: Macro Extension Tube Set , well for £6 from Amazon. I thought I'd try them out.. (they'll do until I can afford a proper macro lens)-

A 85mm f/1.4 attached to a macro extension tube with a 55mm f/1.2 reversed in front. I had to hold the 55mm with my free hand. We're talking about a DOF of ~2mm. Most of these were shot between f/5.6 and f/11 using my flash on manual for the light.

selection of Bugs from my garden!...

Normally i am one to shy away from creepie crawlies but now i find myself rumaging around in the undergrowth to find a bug to photograph!

I actually sat watching a cat and mouse game with a spider and an ant whilst i was getting these, its such a different world and every action could lead to DEATH for the bug, simply amazing!!

I am loving my reverse ring & macro extension tubes now!

SIFRNG Macro extenstion tubes - taken using ring no.3 (30mm) & standard 18-55mm kit lens. No additional lighting used. Low lighting conditions.

Taken using macro extension tubes no.s 1&3 (9mm and 30mm) and standard kit lens 18-55mm, in natural daylight. Aperture set to f/6.3. Backlit using natural daylight from the window.

It was -3 outside and the sun was just beginning to win the battle against Jack Frost when I took these. Another set using the cheap-as-chips macro extension tubes

SIFRNG Macro extenstion tubes - taken using ring no.3 (30mm) & Tamron 18-250mm lens, got about 2 or 3 cm away from the flowers to take these. They were taken still in the cellophane - black background due to the shallow Dof.

Pim gave me a Macro Extension Tube for my Fuji X-E2, and it's awesome. Only the auto focus seems a bit off.

Trying out my new macro extension tubes. This is an African Daisy from my garden and I have done nothing with the photo except resizing. The second photo is a cropped photo of the same flower.

Presmo insisted on getting between me the flower I was taking pictures of using a macro extension

You would never guess: there is a small children pool behind the leafs.
