Experimenting. A couple of frames from an 8mm film I shot last Christmas. Photographed off an Artograph Lightpad using a set of macro extension tubes.

my 2 cents for today.
i think i should use flashgun(hi speed mode) next time , so i can set the shutter speed at higher value.
using long lens require steady hand ..using tripod is one alternative but how can you manage to set up tripod for scene like this as the subject will fly away while you setting up your tripod...another alternative is to get yourself a macro ring flash..or to buy lens with stabilization ability...damn too expensive...hmmm DIY macro ring flash is good but i don't think i will bring it outside...
my choice is to use external flash and cheap remote trigger...set the output to 1/64(depend on the lighting condition) and you can have decent lighting for macro shooting..well this take time also but it is quicker than setting up a tripod don't you think?
Bit of an odd one this, I was trying to clean a flower vase which had stubborn water stains. After several unsuccesful attempts I started working my way through my 'cleaning products. This particular one resulted in lots of interesting bubbles and patterns.. so I thought I'd try and capture them!
Taken using macro extension tube no.3 (30mm) 18-55mm lens. Lit from top of vase - desk lamp. Black card placed behind the vase.

Whoa! This flower is about as small as a penny!
Straight out of the camera, no crop, no adjustments or anything... I'm very excited to start looking for macro photo possibilities now, I even made a flash adapter for my Sunpak 383 hot shoe flash. In the exif data there is no f-stop listed, the extension tubes don't relay info to and fro the lens... I think I was at f/9 for this shot.
Fun stuff!
Very abstract, but I liked the colours!
Taken using standard 18-55mm lens and macro extension tube adapters no.2 & 3 (16mm & 30mm) Lit with a hand held torch with red filter.
Another little super-model - the blue ones seem to love the spotlight, they keep reminding the big red ones that they wear a size 0 :)
selection of Bugs from my garden!...
Normally i am one to shy away from creepie crawlies but now i find myself rumaging around in the undergrowth to find a bug to photograph!
I actually sat watching a cat and mouse game with a spider and an ant whilst i was getting these, its such a different world and every action could lead to DEATH for the bug, simply amazing!!
I am loving my reverse ring & macro extension tubes now!
I'll take you to the highest mountain
To the depths of the deepest sea
And we won't need a map believe me

From my "birthday week" roll of film taken this summer during the week on which my birthday, my sister-in-law's birthday, and my sister's birthday take place.
When I took my sister-in-law her birthday cake, she gave me one of the flowers that my brother got her for her birthday.

"The Teeth Before Your Teeth"
As I scrounge for things to photograph this year, I occasionally come across something which at first seems to lack visual interest. However, once I attach an extension tube to my macro lens.....well, then the fun begins! With my subject and camera in place, it was then simply a matter of selecting which tooth I should focus upon. Not only does macro photography allow one to disorient the viewer, but you also get to see things in whole new way. Suddenly, small scratches become valleys, and a crayon may resemble a mountain! In today's case, I explored a meat tenderizer. There is a bare speedlight at camera-right, just low enough to cast a shadow of the camera-right teeth on to the those at camera-left. If I moved the strobe a quarter of an inch higher.....a totally different image. Thanks for stopping by for a bite!

So I decided to buy a MCEX-16 macro extension tube from Fujifilm because I wanted to lol. seriously I wanted to give it a try because it is my first time going into photography and wanted to learn more about it. I find it helpful for those really up close shots and it doesn’t disappoint just a tip if you going into something like this do more research on youtube or google because the manual is a bit lacking on beginners (like me at first lol) Hope you enjoy this product if you ever get one as much as I did.
