A steam generator used at the Ford Highland Park plant from 1912 till 1930. For an idea of size the stroke length is six feet making the front wheel over six feet in diameter.
Cool to see. I wonder if it existed before the pandemic or if it came into existence in response to the pandemic.
A quick run (literally) into this place produced some quality shots and a desire to return to fully check the place out.
This is a giant complex which used to be a respectable machine plant, but has apparently lost its usefulness. It is currently half abandoned and half active and it is actually big enough not to matter. You could have a rave in the north end on a Monday morning and not one of the 100 people that work on the South end would ever know. In total, there is about two miles of structure to enjoy.

I machine quilted the back to look kind of how things look from high in the air so it would be the opposite view of the front which is looking upwards at birds in the sky from the ground? It makes sense kind of, to me anyway. If my yard was flatter it would be easier to see, but I like it a lot now that its poofy. Grey and light blue thread on dark blue is also nice, I may use this outside and I think it will hide dirt nicely.
