This is the final mechanism for applying force to rubbish for my major project. It is machined mostly form aluminuim and brass
To celebrate "Power Up at Your Library Day" (September 15th, 2016), patrons were invited to use the equipment, supplies and tools in the Innovation Lab to build a giant Rube Goldberg machine. The device was triggered using a Raspberry Pi monitoring Twitter, but most everything else was envisioned, designed and built by patrons on the fly. A video of the contraption in action is available on HCPL's YouTube channel.

It was great. Dad saw this gadget and asked our guide if it was a clothes washing machine. Apparently he has been the only patron to know what it was. Yay, Dad!
If you go to the Honolulu Coffee Experience Center on a weekday more than likely a staff member will be operating this machine.
I made this sewing machine cover for Karin in the Super Swaps Group, she loves birds and red and green, her machine is so huge next to mine I was worried the whole time I was making the wrong size, but it fits, phew, so happy!

We give up on the quarter (OK, TINA gave up on the quarter -- I told her she could call the number on the machine! I did it once before . . . before I decided the machine was stupid and just started bringing in water from Costco.) and just decided to get Tina her soda with whatever money would register.
This is my deliciously expensive yet lovely Husqvarna Viking overlocker. I don't know how I survived without it, despite it being a bit of a fiend to thread up.
I have to walk away from it and psyche myself up before rethreading. Thank Goodness it's got an auto-tension setting, as I used to use quite a few expletives when doing it on my old machine.
