I've been distracted by life for a bit, and haven't taken or posted many photos. But I just got back from a trip to Alaska, and Wow! If that beautiful state doesn't make you dust off your camera, nothing will. So, had fun looking at all my Flickr buddies streams again (missed you!) and back in the saddle!

This is the famous laurel forest of Madeira, Portugal. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage list, due to it being one of the largest remaining laurel forest in the world. Some of its trees are more than 800 years old. It is an essential place to witness for any photographer on the island. You should just be prepared that you will not wander these woods alone…
