Telefon Bay is a small bay on the north-west coast of Port Foster, Deception Island, in the South Shetland Islands of Antarctica. It is surmounted by Telefon Ridge. The name appears on the chart of the French Antarctic Expedition under Charcot, 1908–10.
The bay forms part of an Antarctic Specially Protected Area (ASPA 140), comprising several separate sites on Deception Island, and designated as such primarily for its botanic and ecological values.[2]
Deception Island is an island in the South Shetland Islands archipelago, with the safest harbours in Antarctica.[4] This island is the caldera of an active volcano, which seriously damaged local scientific stations in 1967 and 1969. The island previously held a whaling station; it is now a tourist destination and scientific outpost, with Argentine and Spanish research bases. While various countries have asserted sovereignty, it is still administered under the Antarctic Treaty System.
After 200 uploads I thought it´s time to start all over again and do a re-processed version of my very first photo on
Flickr. No worries, I won´t do that with the other 199 shots! ;-)
Usually I don´t spend much time viewing and processing old photos, as I don´t think it´s worth the effort. The reverse is
true, I´m almost a little bit embarrassed when I click through my early work. But in this case I´m glad I jumped over my own shadow!

The Pan Am Railways OCS is seen passing the Green Line Extension construction project as it approaches Mystic Junction in Somerville, MA on the former B&M New Hampshire Route.
Besides Jasper (our dog) and birds, waterfalls are one of my favorite subjects to photograph. This is Mystic Falls in Yellowstone National Park. Worth the bloody palm I got slipping on the stones to get to it.
I introduced you to the amazing "rags to riches" story of Mystic Journey in the first photograph posted today. She is currently Tasmania's premier racehorse. So there was a great level of expectation in the air as she and jockey Luke Currie prepared to race at Mowbray. Tomorrow I'll show you the result of this race as we bring the series to a close. It was very close.
For now though I leave you to enjoy Luke's wonderful smile (and after all he's been through that says a great deal about the person). And we get a final look from the star of the show herself, Mystic Journey.

Built in 1967 and rebuilt in 1993, the Mystic Whaler carries passengers and trainees on a variety of cruises, ranging from 3 hours to 5 days. In April, May, and early June, the schooner joins Clearwater on the Hudson River, for environmental education programs. Sailing from New London, CT throughout the summer months, the Mystic Whaler offers great sailing opportunities for both novice and experienced passengers. Three-hour Lobster Dinner Cruises are popular as are the 5-hour Day sails, or try an overnight of 2, 3 or 5 days. In September and October, the Mystic Whaler travels to Baltimore Maryland for three weeks of 3-day overnight sails and to participate in the Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race.

...comunque, questo scatto trae ispirazione da una splendida foto della mia concittadina fotovisiva, bravissima fotografa che ha visitato Valencia solo qualche mese prima di me. Volevo interpretarla in modo un po' differente, ed ecco che è venuto fuori questo taglio "mistico" ;-)! Grazie fotovisiva!!!
