i had many things to do today, when the sun hit a huge leaf and a bottle behind it, shone thru the leaf. and off i go. easily distracted, i know. anyway, it was fun.

To me the sea is a continual miracle; The fishes that swim, the rocks, the motion of the waves, the ships with men in them. What stranger miracles are there? (Walt Whitman)

Elaborate architectural details of a typical Parisian building on Place Vendome, yes. But the interesting part of this shot is the mystery figure, half-hidden in the shadows, suspiciously watching the photographer. Clearly, security is top notch here.

A misty day on Loch Shiel, Scotland filled me with a sense of mood, mystery, and contemplation.

Seen and experienced in South Tyrol in July 2020.

This area is my favorite on the west coast of Norway, since it provides opportunities for many beautiful landscapes. The light, and not least the weather, by the sea is changing rapidly. The major elements in the landscape is never the same twice. So that's a challenge in itself to manage. When the winter storms come, the waves can reach 100 feets high by the old lighthouse that you can glimpse far out on the horizon. Here many ships have lost their way. But not on days like this one!

The creepy skin I am wearing by Go&See is hauntingly beautiful. The skin is washed in a pale white and darkness that is visible at the most opportune positions. The cuts and scrapes are also part of the skin, but included is a skin without the blemishes. The image was inspired by DRD's mansion which is available at the Arcade. The mansion is....

We were walking around the Island to take picture of downtown and suddenly this fellow flew in and left like a breeze... Did not get enough time to frame it well. Also unfortunately there was no cloud in the sky... Looks better in Lightbox

I thought this was Queen Anne's Lace, but the flowers never developed into the typical Queen Anne's Lace flowers....so I don't have a clue what it is. If anyone knows what these are, please let me know!

UPDATE: I discovered this plant is called Daucus Pusillus. AKA American Wild Carrot, or Rattlesnake Weed.
