Some light panning at sunset.

This shot was horribly underexposed as I was shooting in manual exposure mode and wasn't paying attention to my meter with the changing light conditions. The good news was it was shot at ISO 100 in raw format so there was plenty of headroom for post-processing adjustment. So nearly three years after this was taken, I stumbled across this as I was weeding out my Lightroom catalog and decided to give it a go.

There were numerous adjustments made in both Lightroom and Photoshop but the Lightroom exposure was upped +2.25 to give you an idea.

Throwback Thursday. One from the old G3 archives.

Another grungy, rainy shot taken from 5,100 feet (1.55km) away. These rare scheduled 747 flights out of MSP are always worth catching even in less-than-ideal photographic conditions.

Tough image quality from such a great distance (1.6 miles/2.6km) in the rain and low visibility but this is a fairly unique perspective you don't get to see too much of in photos around MSP.

This is the start of the takeoff roll of Delta 615 today, bound for Tokyo on runway 22. You gotta love those four engines at high output blasting the water off the runway behind the Queen with a little smoke added in.

I'm not certain if this registration had ever been at MSP before, at least I couldn't find anything going back eight months. I chased the former Continental heritage livery (N75436) back in June before I knew it had been repainted to regular United colors. That's when I became aware the Continental heritage livery now flies on this registration.

It is rare to see this Air Europa Airbus A330 in the USA outside of JFK and MIA. This aircraft was a substitute for the scheduled Condor Boeing 767 due to mechanical issues as I understand it.

I can't make out the registration on the ex-UAL DC-10 at the FedEx ramp. It wouldn't surprise me if it's still operating in the FedEx fleet as an MD-10.

A very rare sight of a British Airways aircraft at MSP airport. They usually only end up here due to some type of emergency. This one was a passenger medical emergency while enroute from London to Phoenix.

Seen here at engine start after pushback, it would taxi to the 12R deice pad for treatment prior to departure.
