Evening departure off runway 12R.

I'm not certain if this registration had ever been at MSP before, at least I couldn't find anything going back eight months. I chased the former Continental heritage livery (N75436) back in June before I knew it had been repainted to regular United colors. That's when I became aware the Continental heritage livery now flies on this registration.

It is rare to see this Air Europa Airbus A330 in the USA outside of JFK and MIA. This aircraft was a substitute for the scheduled Condor Boeing 767 due to mechanical issues as I understand it.

Certainly not something I was expecting to run out and photograph tonight but since, to the best of my knowledge, this is only the third time an A380 has been at MSP, I figured I better go check it out.

This is Lufthansa flight 455, while flying from San Francisco to Frankfurt, diverted here on a medical emergency. In July 2014, British Airways flight 268 flying from Los Angeles to London also diverted here due to a medical emergency.
