Something about the pot bothered me - too much white grout. So I filled in the silver triangles with black paint to make more of a contrast on the pot.

Materials: copper BB gun bullets, copper sheet, colored glass.

Measures: W - 25cm, H - 50cm, D - 2.5cm.

Just finished grouting Clifton Primary School, Hull mosaic which is due to be delivered tomorrow. The mosaic, featuring the school logo, and play area measures 240x100cm and will adourn the front of the Victorian school building (detailed in the mosaic).

Approxmately 230 children contributed to the mosaic from design to adding tiles, ranging from Foundation to Year 6 over the course of a week in December.

I put together a bunch of inch thick chunks of glass and made it into a paver, after lusting after some that floyfreestyle made of her glass chunks. I painted the paver white, then glued the glass on with clear adhesive and grouted in white, to see if that would make the colors pop more.

I finished doing my mama's face and am letting her dry. Just have the frame to finish and then grouting.

My intention was always to have red grout, so I painted the grout this morning.

Calcite – believed to be a cleansing stone, with revitalizing influence; aids in moving beyond past experiences & finding new directions. Blue, Red, Honey & Orange Calcite have been used in this piece

Turquoise – an efficient healer, providing solace for the spirit and well-being for the body; instills inner calm

Coral, bone, hand cut china

A pattern which mimics the symbol for water in Feng Shui was employed, as it represents reflection, sensitivity and effectiveness.

These signs were made on backer board out of stained blass. For my CPA in exchange for a whiz-bang job on my taxes this year!

I plan to grout in a tan color.
