Well, I finished grouting it tonight and after a lot of study, actually figured out which end is up. Yeah!
This totally a random doodle using as much iridescense and bright colors as I could. It sparkles so pretty!
I've been commissioned to do a mosaic for Fr. Pete Lopez who is leaving Corpus Christi Cathedral next month. He has been awarded the title, "Angel of the Arts", and this mosaic will be presented to him at a big gala in June.
I had my good friend, Mary, paint the ribbon for me, and now I can proceed with the mosaic. It's 14x18.

This is the first birdbath I attempted to do. I like how the top turned out, but gave the thing away to a special lady so that I'd have room for the next birdbath.
Some of my mosaic art and gift items are available at the local art gallery, Gallery 35, downtown historic Alpharetta.
It is open now with a Grand Opening Reception on Thursday, October 21st.
I hope to see some of you there.
Here's the finished right side of the table. I'll probably grout in a beige, I think. Any other suggestions?
I took an old birdbath and gave it new life with Venetian tile on the flower part and broken wine bottles on the bottom. (friends donated the bottles - honest!) This was a Christmas present for my bosses (the picture was taken at the office).
Took these to the gallery just before Christmas. One has sold, other looking for a new home.
Each froggie comes with a "Legend".
‘Entering the Forest’ mirror, ceramic, smalti and vitreous glass. Forests are often seen as scary places, I wanted to show that sometimes going to these ‘dark’ places shows us much of ourselves hence the mirror backdrop (helped by a great sky here!)

I'd be very interested in all of your advice on how to finish this. I was thinking of gray grout or covering them with resin, but I'm not sure.

While I have the concept now of a roadrunner, the important question that is asked again and again, "what material may be interesting to play with next to what I have in place?" The operative word is "may" and "play."
