I meant to take a picture of the starfish before adding anything... but didn't think of it before adding a blob of the layer of thinset. I thought it would help to smooth out the surface for mosaicking.

The anchors are made with clear wavy glass that I painted with alcohol ink to get the right color I wanted for the anchors. The crest was outlined in red mirror to add some punch to the seal.

I used iridescent green and ivory tiles, and yellow iridescent square beads for trim. It looks really pretty in indirect light.
Her face is grouted. I have a little more work to do on the eyes. I'm giving her a rest before I move on to the rest.
