Conrail freight ELKA5, led by EMD GP38-2 No. 8134, cruises through New Carlisle, Indiana, during a snowfall on January 15, 1994, in a panned photograph. It wasn’t until I received the Kodachrome slide from processor that I noticed the conductor neatly framed in the cab windows, using ambient light from bright snow to read the morning paper!
Hope you liked my last Flickr pic – I’ve managed to cover up my modesty now with this old jacket from Addams. I really love the way Second Life looks at the moment with the new Bento heads and some amazing appliers from a variety of different stores. When I compare myself with how I looked when I first entered this wonderful world there is no comparison whatsoever – I really do feel now like I have an alternate existence here that’s almost as vivid as the real thing. Just wish it would get less laggy!!
Since 1835 the oldest standing lighthouse in Newfoundland and Labrador has been welcoming the first morning rays of sunshine to hit North America. This National Historic Site was home to multi generations of lighthouse keepers. “The human history of Cape Spear Lighthouse is the story of the Cantwells. For over 150 years, generations of this famous family of lightkeepers resided at Cape Spear and worked tirelessly to maintain a light so vital to mariners.”

I know I said that I will not be posting for a while but I came across this archive shot while I was editing and had to show it, taken 15 years ago no less on slide film and scanned into PS, I won an award for this little gem!

A shot taken in April this year during a journey to work. I think the light makes up for what's lacking in the subject.

Last Sunday, we rolled out of bed really early to get to the park and try to find the bull moose everyone has been seeing. Along the way, we were treated to this beautiful sunrise over Twin Peaks, right outside Estes Park.
Happy Friday!!!
What a magnificent way to start the day...Sun beaming and Canada Geese taking flight from the Thames River here in London Ontario !
Pushing on that trigger is like pulling magic into my very soul...Darrell.
Have a safe and great day dear Flickr friends !
A beautiful misty morning in the Eden Valley, so many images to be had today. This the first one of the day, a bit of height in the valley allowing me to get some of the sunlight piercing through the trees. One of those times where you just have to stop when confronted with this type of view.
