Yesterday I had the opportunity to shoot at an event called Vlissingen Rescue. This biannual event is a coordinated effort by different public service departments like police, paramedics, fire-departments, coastguard, nave and such.
I was invited by the MMT (Mobile medical team i.e. traumahelicopter) to cover 2 demonstrations regarding an accident with stucked victims. I was granted acces to the enclosed demo-area and could move freely between and around the firemen, paramedics and doctors.
A wonderful expirience and not just photographicly. It was really beautiful to see how the different aid-workers cooperated to free and medically care for the victims, respect!

The Mobile Maintenance Train approaches Bushey about to run under Watford Heath Bridge on the West Coast Mainline. This was something of a grab shot because it crept up on me as I was looking the other way. But I was very pleased as to how it came out!
