Remembering to get a drink of water (thank you momostery and Anne Lamott), to spend time exercising and breathing, enjoying the rainbow and sunset at the 4H fair and so proud of my girl for pursuing her dreams and entering the photo contest. Also (because I'm hanging on to gratitude with both fists clenched tight) the miracle of apples on those trees I planted by flashlight so many years ago. Swearing under the light of the moon and hearing a timberdoodle... back when I thought certain things defined and validated me and now I know that its ok for my definitions to keep changing but still looking to know that what I do (or don't do) is important in some way.
Had a Great Day with Spike (RadioSpike), Kelly (PictureObsessed), and Nick (fiedlern) at the Miracle League's baseball game in Southfield. This is Michigan's first baseball field for children with any physical or mental disability. The Miracle League of Michigan is making dreams come true for some very special kids.

Comunists tried to burn this holy icon for 3 times, but it wouldn't burn. They got scared and left it alone. Now this icon slowly brings all descolored facial features back. Miracle! :)
After several straight weekends of rainouts thanks to a very wet Arkansas spring, the Blue Heroes, Red Warriors, Purple Legends, and Green Champions were able to take advantage of a beautiful Saturday morning on May 18 at Monticello’s sports complex, where the four teams took the field at the Miracle League Park. Dubbed “Celebration Saturday,” the final day of the spring season included the presentation of trophies, team pictures, and a cookout.

"A Miracle Made"

In the spring of 2007, St. Paul United Methodist Church entered into a partnership with Highland Park United Methodist Church to restore and renovate this historic building. "A Miracle in the Making" was the theme for the project, which included restoring some interior finishes to their original appearance, providing major enhancements to the building's infrastructure and mechanical systems, and adding this fourth tower to house an elevator.
This new tower is dedicated to the pastors and laypersons of St. Paul United Methodist Church, past and present. Their faith, vision, service and sacrifices have established a rich heritage. This tower stands as a constant reminder that the blessings and miracles of God experienced by this congregation span three centuries.
We praise God for "A Miracle Made" as we enter this renovated edifice, and we give thanks to God for our vision and commitment to be "The SOul of the Arts District". -June 2010
Shots taken by my brand new Nikkor 50mm AF f/1.8 D lens. No autofocus on my Nikon D40 so I had to focus manually. Kinda hard at first but so fun when you get used to it. So what do you think?
This is Gandalf , the miracle kiity, who belongs to a friend, who hand fed him after his parent died from the pet food contamination. My last update on him was May 25th. Now he is 14 weeks old and a real little character. You see how his eye color has changed. He is a short haired Persian or a "Lazy man's Persian" according to my friend. His pedigree is Persian but his coat is short and easy to care for and many people have never seen this breed .
