The Desert Passage was a Las Vegas Moroccan themed mall built in 2000 within the former Aladdin Hotel. When this was transformed into the Planet Hollywood Hotel, the mall has been renamed Miracle Mile Shops, and a part of it has lost its old Arabian decor in favor of a Hollywood-themed more conventional mall.
"Miracle" is Scottish souvenir jewellery. They take traditional Celtic/Scottish designs and make them into affordable pieces.
I love antique Scottish jewellery, but real antiques are far too expensive for me to collect.
The solution... I am very happy to find nice designs in these "Miracle" jewellery.
And now, some earlier pieces are, so called, vintage. Worth collecting !

Behind the altar, this wonderful miracle is always on display. The story is that a Basilian monk around the year 700 AD was having doubts about the True Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist and prayed that God would relieve him of these doubts. One morning during the consecration of the Mass, the host turned into flesh in the monk's hands and the wine in the chalice turned into blood. Scientific studies reveal the flesh to be human heart tissue with type AB blood (same as the shroud)

This is a felt tip drawing of Miracle, my flying acrobat. Miracle came to us as a rescue from the power company at the turn of the century. Our book, "Parrots in The City", was inspired by Miracle's rescue and life. He was a precious creature and taught me so much about how this bird species acts in the wild in both flight and personality.
Miracle offered me hours and hours of flight photography and video and was so predictable that capturing images like this was almost routine. One day I'm going to publish some of the best shots I have of my buddy Miracle.
Miracle had a great personality, he was sweet and loved his mommy, not me so much. Early on we were best friends but he would fly at arm's length because I used to be able to reach out and capture him by hand as he flew through the room delivering sticks to his nest.
Miracle was a sweet and fun companion bird and we miss him so much for all the hours and hours of entertainment he provided for us. He gave us such a love and joy for birds and how they live.
This is an update on the cute little miracle kitten that belongs to a friend of mine.The first photo of him was uploaded on April 18th. He survived after his parent died from renal failure due to the pet food gluten/melamine contamination and my friend hand fed him. Such a sweet and lovable little fellow who is now 12 weeks old. He is a Silver Classic Tabby Exotic Shorthair.
