My largest fig scale ship to date

The Hyundai Matrix (or Lavita in some markets) was built from 2001 until 2010. The small MPV based on the Elantra was designed by Pininfarina. It has a 1.6 litre engine with 103 PS.

I am thinking of the movie "Matrix" when I take this photo

I took the red pill a while back and now know what the world is. That is the reason why I can levitate, bending the rules.

Here I am logging out of the Matrix.

these are green curtain lights hanging from a tree...reminded me of "the matrix" movie

The Matrix is still one of my favourite films. In the downtime over Christmas and New Year I was inspired to shoot this strobist selfie because my brother had so many old computer monitors lying around. I was travelling light with just one speedlight, a set of wireless triggers, but no filters or other light modifiers and so had to improvise.

Strobist info:

The key light was a Nikon SB28 at 1/64th power placed on the desk behind the laptop and the main screen, pointing up at the subject. An offcut from a green/blue plastic bag was used to provide the greenish tinge and the lenshood of my 24-70mm lens was used as a snoot to limit the spill. The computer screens actually provided very little light. Triggered wirelessly using a Yongnuo YN-622N trigger

The Matrix was a hatchback version of the Toyota Corolla for the North American market. This second generation was built from 2008 until 2014. There was also an equivalent from Pontiac, the Vibe, but that model was discontinued in 2009 already with the end of the Pontiac brand. This one has a 1.8 litre engine.

Arranged in a matrix, the visualizations of the food data are structured from Simple to Complex [Axis 1 Left to Right] and Literal to Abstract [Axis 2 Top to Bottom].

This matrix was installed as part of the thesis presentation. Users are encouraged to document their interaction with the matrix using an "Experience Card" tracking which one they saw first, looked at the longest, thought was the most effective and thought was the least effective.

The idea of the matrix is create a live space for comparison and contrast of the different methods of visualization. When viewed one at a time, the human memory is unable to recall enough data from previous images to create a truly effective comparison.

Each image has a note attached that links to the full size version of that visualization. If they are driving you crazy, hover anywhere off of the image and lines disappear, or click on the image to go into another view with no notes. See it super large scale by viewing other sizes.

Feel free to leave comments with your reactions based on your experience (albeit a bit smaller than the real one)

The Matrix was one of my favorite movies and this shot of my shower head reminds me of it. Hence the name: Matrix Shower

Matrix

"This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back.....You take the blue pill, the story ends. You wake up and believe...whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill.....you stay in wonderland...and I show you just how deep the rabbit hole goes."

Morpheus, The Matrix

Yeah, and what if I take both, man !!?

"C'est là ta derniere chance. Tu ne pourras plus faire marche arrière... Choisis la pilule bleue et tout s'arrête, après tu pourras faire de beaux rêves et penser ce que tu veux... Choisis la pilule rouge et tu restes au pays des merveilles et on descend avec le lapin blanc au fond du gouffre."

Added to the Cream of the Crop pool as most favorited.

Kids playing at the fountains and when the green lights flashed looked like the title theme of matrix at that moment.

Not much, really. Just a tablescrap and the satisfaction of quoting Matrix. Twice !

Morpheus: "This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes."
