This is a little magnet I made to go along with a gift card for my cousin who's getting married in a couple of weeks. The text is from a vintage (1930s) book on etiquette. I love the book. Every time I crack it open, I read something that makes me laugh.
I had snagged this image from an ebay auction in 2003...the guy on the right...before I had money for art! :) I loved the image so much I had to have it...but I neglected to title it so I didn't remember who did it...
So, MikeCargill here on Flickr marked me as a contact and I thought it was by him. I had remembered his name from searching outsider art on ebay and inquired. Art genius that he is, he knew who I was talking about without even seeing it!! Thank you, Mike! ;) Here it is! And you were right, it's Mike Maxwell!
Of course now, from looking around, I'm sure he's still way out of my league but I'm glad to have the magnet!
