Bologna (Emilia Romagna - Italy): I find perspectives have something attractive and captivating.
I keep this in my pantry to hang reminders, notices, etc. Discovered it this morning while looking for possible postcards I might have kept. Postcards are fast becoming extinct due to our phones, social media, etc. Looking back, I wish I had kept mine.
Not to mention, looking back at all of the places my friends and family visited years ago.

For Smile on Saturday#Magnets, my heart-sharped medical magnet.
I wear it on my left shoulder,so that this copper part lies on the skin, then the shirt goes, and over the shirt I put a nice little metal plate that holds the magnet. The heart itself consists of three parts, copper, magnet and metal.

On a brightly painted piece of wood a small button magnet is mounted allowing it to be a rather pretty fridge adornment.
The actual name of this tall sculpture by Liu Jianhua is "Global Magnet" and the Chinese name is just one word: "磁" (cí ="Magnet") - it stands 17.5 m tall in front of the SWFC.

For the Macro Mondays challenge "Fake". The pumpkin might be fake but the recipe for pumpkin pie is authentic. It's from the ancient Betty Crocker cook book I brought with me to Germany as a young bride.
All magnets from the refrigerator Vas'ka dragged up on the top of the fridge. This one is the last and to strong for his paw.

This photo includes two of the many souvenir magnets that I keep on my refrigerator. The bird is a Brushkin. Brushkins are made in the Philippines from the fiber of the Buri Palm Tree. The background is a magnet from the National Air and Space Museum that shows a galaxy in space.
The beautiful blue colour of this frozen waterfall attracts Ice Climbers,Hikers and Photographers alike.

A fake Ladybird beetle sitting on a real leaf. There are two ways to tell this Ladybird is fake. 1. It looks nothing like a real Ladybird and 2. As hard as I've tried I've not been able to make a normal Ladybird stay on a fridge door holding vital shopping lists simply because they don't contain magnets :-)
As fake as fake can be

Whenever we travel, we get a fridge magnet. However, since they don't stick to our new refrigerator, I have a magnetic bulletin board I put them on. Area photographed is 3 in wide x 2.25 in tall.
