All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
And their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, no tomorrow
And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
'Cos I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very
Mad World ...
Dusty, our house rabbit, was less than pleased when I snapped her from this unflattering angle, and before she'd arranged her mad hair! :D
With the weather as it was over the weekend (and it's even worse today!), I didn't get out and about with my camera, so was indoors pestering the pets instead.
I thought her grumpy-looking expression made a fitting upload for today---I'm always feeling a bit grumpy on Mondays!

Resisting the urge to clammer down her hole, Marla stands insistently on top of her doorstep.
I had to back the car up for this shot. JoAnne, now a certified wildlife spotter, suddenly yells out "MARMOT" 300 feet passed the event. Ok so we need to work on her reflexes but I still managed to get the shot and not cause an accident.
This Chickadee perhaps is cold and has that mad expression, reminds me that famous Bluebird.

Well sunset didn't happen but check out this mad sky. Made it back to the car just before the heavens opened up
Just returned from one of the busiest and most enjoyable wildlife shoots in Scotland with my good friend Peter Spencer. Three full-on days in various locations and to say we were privileged to be in the presence of some of the most beautiful wildlife in the world is an understatement. The bonus being that we were able to photograph it in what was an absolute manic period of rain, sunshine, heat, water, mud, sleep deprivation, wit and flatulence from Peter and poor diet……..priceless!
This is my first image, of, in the words of Chris Packham is ‘not only the finest bird on earth but the greatest bird on earth as an individual’. Meet…… Mad Max.
Sorry about all the blurb I was just going to call this image ‘Wasp - Vespula vulgaris’ – Photo-bombed by a Sparrowhawk – Accipiter nisus, but thought that might be disrespectful to the greatest bird on earth as an individual - aka Mad Max.

Thanks for looking…lots more to come…hope I don’t bore you death with them all.
I tried to make a simple desktop to match the background. I only added my most used tiles and I tried to set them up in an aesthetically pleasing way starting from the top right.
At first , I thought there was a lot of fat on the grill causing all the smoke in the patio restaurant. But they have 'misters' around the periphery to help keep the temperature comfortable.....false alarm.
Out of the respect i have for mad catz i have made a few wallpapers so i and other followers can show our support by repping the scratch marks :D

Martin is very polite and a lovely southerner who has, in his own way, named his Norton Commando "George" !
Trev hired a Triumph Bonneville for the charity event, of which Martin lay his hands on and closed his eyes, and told Trev that the Bonneville was called Alan!
it all finished.

I heard one of these cows say to the other, “have you heard of this Mad Cow disease?”, the other one replied, “ it don’t effect me, I’m a double decker bus !!!
My first ever photo of a Hare and by the looks of him he's been in the wars. Probably hurt his eye boxing with another Hare in the springtime scuffles.
After a couple years of saying I should do it, I've done up an indigo vat in order to turn things blue.
Indigotin, the blue pigment, is not water soluble, so it needs to be reduced. You can ferment it with urine, or you can use the quick way like me and reduce it with thiouria dioxide and sodium carbonate. The dissolved indigo will turn yellow-green, and there's frequently a scum on the top (today's was pretty frightening) where the pigment will re-oxidize and turn blue again.
These are really frightening chemicals, so if you're interested in trying it, be very, very careful.
