What could be better than two powerful beasts being pulled in the Palio procession in Siena?

Puente Romano spanning the Río Guadiana. At 792m in length with 60 granite arches, is one of the longest bridges built by the Romans.
It is currently part of the Archaeological Ensemble of Merida, declared a World Heritage Site in 1993 by UNESCO.
It was constructed in 25 BCE when Emerita Augusta (modern-day Mérida) was founded, and then partly restored in the 17th century.
Originally there were two bridges that were later joined together.
Its 792 meters in length make it the second longest Roman bridge in the world, second only to the bridge over the Danube, which was 1,135 meters long, Trajan's Bridge between Serbia and Romania. That bridge only lasted 165 years
Its use is pedestrian and open to the public.
My beautiful granddaughter is taking a photography class and is working on converting an existing picture to give it a fall presence. It got me to thinking that fall colors will be here soon and then remembered this picture I shot in Colorado two years ago but never processed it. Better late than never, hope you all like it.
This was processed this to give it a soft focus to create a dreamy effect. The sharp image just didn't convey the vision I saw in the field.
