I started off with an underexposed picture of two Moa skeletons in the Canterbury Museum. I played around a bit and come up with this.

lit using a speedlight in a gridded softbox on each side about one foot from subject.

Low Key Portrait

Managed to persuade Andy to model for me for a low key portrait.

I used a speedlight, to the side of him, set on its lowest power with a grid attached as I only reallt wanted to light his face up.

Extension tubes and photo rail used ...light source was from a smart phone ...around 10 photos stacked
