This is my loopy bow inspired by Christina at Creative Cake Design. She has the best bows I have ever seen and she has inspired me to attempt this beautiful topper. I can only hope to be as good at this as her someday! This topper was for my daughters birthday cake....she loved it!
Coming back from liverpool on the bus. As you can see, it's all been bit too much for our tiny mind to cope with.
Thank God for this sign. It really helps cyclists panting up the steep bank. It has its own post and makes a real stand.
Three sterling silver loops, one slightly bigger than the other, are coiled with finest silver wire. From the smallest loop hangs a faceted aqua quartz rondelle. From the next dangles a beautiful soft green faceted amethyst briolette and from the third and largest drops a faceted jade rondelle.
As the three rings are just threaded on a sterling silver snake chain, this necklace has lots of movement. To make the stones pop I oxidized the whole piece.
All components (well, all except the chain:-) are handcrafted.
Loopy, my favorite shop in Taipei! This is their old shop, they've since moved to a new location across the street.
I couldn't decide what I wanted to quilt on this one. I am SO glad I decided to give Elizabeth's (Oh Franson) loopy flowers a try.
Have to say, I really enjoyed getting some people shots for a change, and the fact they were zombies was a bonus! I know I said I had put up the last zombie shots earlier but couldn't resist another couple. Best viewed on black.
If you´d ask my friends a little something about me, I bet they´d say I´m quite worthy of the name I carry.
And yes, I guess it´s all true, but I think the most important thing is ... I´m having so much of the wacky & crazy FUN, I gladly share it with all of you! :-D
I bought a pattern online from Sarah London showing how to make Loopy Roses. Whilst I found the crochet easy I had a b it of trouble coiling them up to form a nice rose. The red/orange one is the best so far and the one with the blue centre is the first and I coiled that one up the wrong way!
Also observe the truly joined-up approach here where one cycling facility merges seamlessly into the next.
Lovingly designed segregated walk/cycle facility. Leading from road to a footpath some 10 metres away or so. No expense spared.
Where is this month going? Things are hopping at my house, with all the school and girl scout activities, along with family get togethers and birthday etc. In the meantime, Loopy decided to relax with a marshmallow spa soak, and I have to say it looks inviting!
