Iconic rollercoaster on the Oktoberfest.

The five loops roughly resemble the Olympic rings.

Looping n'est plus, elle était tellement gentille, attentive, et affectueuse. Que de ballades ensemble, elle laisse un grand vide. Nous sommes très tristes.

Looping is not anymore

ogni cosa attorno

ha l'odore inalterato dell'assenza.

è ciò che accade quando

i contorni di un ricordo

si sgretolano in frammenti infinitesimali.

in realtà tutto rimane com'era,

in quell'istante,

prima che tutto vada in pezzi,

prima che tutto giunga al termine.

bianco e nero sono il medesimo colore

nel mio pensiero circolare.

è tutto qui.

e ciclicamente si ripete.

A couple of weeks ago, my wife and I went camping in Cunningham Gulch north of Silverton, CO, with some friends. The San Juans had just got their first dusting of snow on the mountain peaks and we were going to explore the Alpine Loop. It was fantastic weather, plenty of early fall colors with the bonus of snow tipped peaks. The overnight low the first night reached the low 20s, but the next day reached into the upper 60s. The one thing that would be the cherry on top to this trip was seeing a moose.

So, just as our day was coming to its conclusion, this guy appeared on the edge of a meadow near Howardsville, and he was kind enough to allow me a few snaps. but, he was pretty clear that I had come close enough.

The Georgetown Loop Railroad is a 3 ft narrow gauge United States heritage railroad located in the Rocky Mountains in Clear Creek County, adjacent to Interstate 70 in Colorado

These little flowers just make you take a look at them. 😁. Enjoy your day ... thanks for stopping in.

A popular trail that makes a short 1 to 2 hour loop from the rim at Sunset Point down to the floor of Bryce Canyon. The trail visits favorite hoodoo formations such as Wall Street, Twin Bridges, and Thor’s Hammer. I got as low as I could on the path looking back towards the rim from which I came from. Thor’s Hammer on the right is one of the more popular hoodoo’s in the park and instantly recognizable from any view point.

An iPhone shot I took on my visit to Loop Head, Co. Clare.

Its been awhile since I've shot anything rusty. This caught my eye while wandering around Cowichan Bay, B.C.

The Loop is the central business district or downtown Chicago - a really vibrant area!

About 7 miles south of Wall, SD is the beginning of the Badlands Loop Road. Winter turned out to be a great time to visit as we almost had the place to ourselves.

This view is from just off the Fossil Exhibit trail, one of the many hiking trails in the park. Don't think I could have got this shot in the summer as I was more or less laying in the middle of road for a few minutes.

Our second day was cut short due to the dense fog. There was no more than a quarter mile of visibility which kind of ruined the view. Since there was no point in staying in the park, we decided to drive up to Iron Mountain Road hoping it would be clear enough to see Mount Rushmore. It wasn't looking promising until we got to Keystone where we finally started to see the sun and I was able to shoot a few pictures of the presidents. Will be posting those in the next few days.

I apologize to the purists for my processing but wanted to try a little artistic creativity on this one.

At ADM in Tuscola, the elevator employee is probably sighing with relief as the last car of this 90 car grain train is seconds from being completely loaded. Two hours later and the DREI crew will be hopping on to take it east to Hillsdale, where a CSX crew will then take it south. This pair of YN2 AC4400CW locomotives look great and are a nice touch to this train, considering its usual set of fresh GEVOs.
