Well, not quite. As often occurs when you see cats looking outside intently.....YOU look out there and really don't see much of anything!
I came home this morning to these two...

A look through the windshield of a vintage car on Canada Day at the Legislature Grounds in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
The Commanding Officer's Quarters (the Coast Guard Admiral's Quarters from 1966 to 1996) was designed in the Greek Revival style by architect Martin E. Thompson in 1843. The Quarters is over 12,000 square feet and the interior has been designated as historic.
The northern half of Governor's Island is a National Register historic district #85002435. It's also a National Historic Landmark. The National Park Service runs Castle Williams and Fort Jay as a National Monument. The rest of Governor's Island is administered by the Governors Island Preservation and Education Corporation. The island is required by law to have no housing (which is a shame - I think the Presidio model works very well).
The island is open to visitors only on the weekends from spring through fall. If you're ever in New York City, I would highly recommend taking the free ferry over to the island and explore. You can even rent a bike on the island.
While the rest of the country was watching the Superbowl, I was doing homework at Method Coffee in Prescott, Arizona.
you can kinda see the bottom half of the plane wing jet looking like thingy, and all the fluffy clouds and the gorgeous blue sky
Taken on the BBC Photoclub outing to Television Centre - a place that means nothing to me professionally, but quite a lot in terms of cultural memories...

Turn around and say good morning to the night
For unless they see the sky
But they can't and that is why
They know not if it's dark outside or light

One of the many courtyards at the souk at Madinat Jumeirah. This is a hotel overlooking the Burj Al Arab, but is much much classier and elegant.
Besides the super exclusive resort (I took some shots when we visited family friends who were staying there), there is a souk full of Arabic trinkets. It is interesting to visit, but it is a highly sanitized and organized version of what a souk is actually like. The souk has closed walkways which are very convenient for the hot summer, while in winter the doors fold back and there are lots of stalls outside as well.
Besides shopping, there is a theater that has lots of shows and arty movies, lots of great restaurants and cafes and a nice waterway where one can go for rides on abras.
"Hello, tell me you know
Yeah, you figured me out
Something gave it away
And it would be such a beautiful moment
To see the look on your face
To know that I know that you know now
And baby that's a case of my wishful thinking
You know nothing
Cause you and I
Why, we go carrying on for hours, on and
We get along much better
Than you and your boyfriend
Well all I really wanna do is love you
A kind much closer than friends use
But I still can't say it after all we've been through
And all I really want from you is to feel me
As the feeling inside keeps building
And I will find a way to you if it kills me
If it kills me"
--"If It Kills Me" By Jason Mraz
