The city of Detroit - so many things wrong, yet so much that I love. This image - a lot of things I'd like to change if I had the opportunity to try this one again, yet so many redeeming qualities to it as well. Myself - hey... I notice a trend here...

the middle of the day was grey and rainy and cold-- does not bode well for dry king's day on wednesday........ the tv weather tuesday morning was showing places where it had snowed!!

Preparation work for my "Looking Out" series based on woodland here in Michigan USA. As well as five main paintings, I filled a number of sketchbooks and some concertina sketchbooks.

Just as it says plus two very quiet cats ~ not like Milo!

Glad you are home - have been wondering when. We have had a few days of 90 degree weather. Keeps one waiting - every one says my place looks like it had been here all ways haven't' worked since April 15. May passed away. Love to all. A.

Adult female sits with back facing camera looking over Observation Point in Zion National Park in Utah, an 8 mile hike to the highest point in the park

This is the view out my kitchen window. I have stood countless hours at the sink, looking out over the neighbor's roof to the sky beyond. My deepest thoughts have been shared with that patch of sky.

sorry all, been a bit busy the last few days finding homes for all the kittens.

i have ginger and ollie still with me but ginger has a home to go to in a couple of weeks and ollie has been offered a home with his bro pepper, if i can bare to let him go. he's got a bit of a funny tummy atm so he's had shots from the vets and wouldn't be able to go anywhere until after the weekend, so i've got a couple of days to really think about it!

i'll try and play catch up (again) over the next few days.

Have a brill weekend everyone!

This was taken in Laxey Station from inside a tram which was about to go up Snaefell. At this point the tram is about 100 ft above sea level and Snaefell is 2036ft. Started in 1895, the Snaefell Mountain Railway took just seven months to complete. Running a total of four miles from the village of Laxey to the top of the island's highest mountain, Snaefell at 2,036ft. The electric Snaefell Mountain Railway is the only one in the British Isles. The line is 3 1/2ft gauge covering 5 miles with a steep incline of 1 in 12 running on a 53 chain line. It has a centre line to aid braking.

The tram you can see is one on the Manx Electric Railway and has come from Ramsey, it is on its way to the terminus at Douglas.

I wear this top too much. It's tatty and stretched, but SO comfy. Love it!

Eager to catch the fall colors, we took a week in late autumn and headed to Austria and Italy for a road trip exploring the back roads while chasing creative photography opportunities.

The view south across the estuary through the little perspex window of the refuge. (There isn't a window facing north, but the shot out of the door in that direction can be seen here.

Through that middle panel, you can just make out a Bamburgh Castle' shaped smudge on the horizon.
