Took this pic when there was a distant thunderstorm the edge of which spilled over to La Perouse which gave dramatic light. The boys playing on the rock was also a fleeting moment. All of this only lasted minutes before the boys were gone and the light yet changed again. I had my 15-30mm on my camera so could not zoom in on the boys. Nevertheless the wide angle captured dramatic cloud and light :-) happy days!

another shot from my recent visit from nOuk!

Thanks for all the positive/encouraging comments!!

Museum reproduction of a Bastet figurine for the Looking Close on Friday challenge: "black."

Bastet or Bast, also known as Ubasti or Bubastis, is a goddess of ancient Egyptian religion, possibly of Nubian origin, worshipped as early as the Second Dynasty. In ancient Greek religion, she was known as Ailuros. Bastet was worshipped in Bubastis in Lower Egypt, originally as a lioness goddess, a role shared by other deities such as Sekhmet. Eventually Bastet and Sekhmet were characterized as two aspects of the same goddess, with Sekhmet representing the powerful warrior and protector aspect, and Bastet, who increasingly was depicted as a cat, representing a gentler aspect. -- Courtesy Wikipedia

***** Thank you very much for your view, comment and fave.

I invite you to visit all my photo-gallery. Thanks

When I first moved here to the Pacific Northwest, I met this old man that would always look up with his hands outstretched. He would say, "Isn't it wonderful". Back then, I didn't really get the message. As I have lived here longer, I have come to appreciate the beauty in the sky, especially the morning and the evenings! :)

In a few days I will be traveling down to Southern Utah and Arizona. I am looking forward to photographing the great Southwest. It will be a very big change from the Pacific Northwest. Can't wait for the challenge! :)

I will be away from flickr for awhile, but I will catch up with your photo streams when I get back. :)

This is the centre look up view of Putrajaya bridge, Malaysia. As we were driving along the bridge and noticed many people stop their car along the side to watch the night scene, I was curious to pull over and walk across for a few photo shoot, instead this look up view in the middle of the divider catch my attention.
