It was a bit scary, only me and a collegue around. But no bear appeared :) Great Session although there were clouds around. I think I need a new wide angle to reduce the noise in the picture.
The Arrowsmith Range in the South Island of New Zealand runs parallel to the main ranges of the Southern Alps. The highest point is Mount Arrowsmith (far left, 2,781 metres (9,124 ft)). The view to the range goes across Lake Heron and Mt Arrowsmith Station. In the Canterbury high country large farms are called stations to distinguish them from smaller, more intensive lowland farms. Historically, settlers had to find unoccupied open land and run sheep to establish the right to lease it. The high country farms in eastern the foothills of the Southern Alps still work on longterm, perpetually renewable leases.
A clear night sky over Hasliberg, Switzerland. Far from city lights, the stars revealed their full brilliance above the alpine landscape. Captured in stillness, this photo reminds me how vast and quiet the universe can be when we take a moment to look up.
This may be the only kind of snowman we will see this winter if the longterm weather forecast is right, It was a decoration on one of the stall roffs at the Christmas market at Stuttgart. The Christmas markets are over now and will have to find something else to photogtaph.
A beautiful photo motif at the Rheinspitz in Vorarlberg on Lake Constance. That I still have such a weather luck in the evening at this place, I would never have dreamed with the overcast sky during the day...

In my home region there are many small waterfalls, but most of them are only small trickles. However, when the snow melts in conjunction with prolonged rainfall, the waterfalls unfold their true beauty for a short time! It is then a great pleasure for me to be at the right place at the right time and capture this in a beautiful photo.
short films - the better half of her worst side - Sep/2025
There are always moments like this for each of us. It's what you can't see from the outside, the conflicts and struggles we wage unseen within ourselves. Franzi repeatedly makes this clear in her words and brings it to light. She always encourages self-acceptance and makes our own needs understandable. I am all the more delighted that I was able to translate this struggle into images with her in the studio. Every time I am in the studio with someone, new facets of the themes I am trying to capture in images open up to me, helping me to understand myself better in the process.

I kept this series practically closed as a self-portrait series for a very long time. I think it’s time to open it up and at the same time connect it to my overarching theme, the portraits. And now I've expanded the project even further and had a couple in front of my lens for the first time.
As a rule, these are long exposure shots with exposure times varying between 2 and 30 seconds. In this case 15 seconds. They are series that deal with a range of human feelings and thoughts. They deal with desire, loss, regret and pain and the attempt to process all of this.
A few times a year I try to photograph the Milky Way! It is always a challenge to be out and about at this time of night, but it is also always a dream to experience nature at night!
A roller coaster of emotions on the trip to the Allgäu, will the weather fit, with a predicted beautiful time window in the morning? On the outward journey, everything from starry skies to dense fog... on site then a constantly changing weather pattern, but with many ingredients that makes landscape photography so beautiful! I hope you enjoy looking at the photo.
In the evening on the „Eisernen Steg" in Frankfurt cavort a lot of people. With the long exposure I tried to make this deserted. The two men did not want to move away at all in the time. Something shadowy but they also somehow animate the scene.

The mill wheel stood still for a long time in the Woogtal of Königstein. Now it has been repaired and continues to turn, steadily, quietly and without a murmur.
