In contrast to the hinterland with the great mountain regions Sierra Nevada, the beaches in Andalusia are not among the most beautiful in Spain. The sand is grey, mixed with fine and grainy pebbles. Therefore I decided to fotograph the beach only in the late twilight:).
Andalusia, Spain.
This time I had the honor to do an AD for my longterm friend Deadboy for the current L´Homme issue.

Bert (and he lost his Ernie) Has been one of my best friends for so long I forget how long now. He will beat up anyone that hurts me... grins... (kidding) but cherish the friendships you have. You never know what tomorrow may hold.
✈️ : Missing Melody
I can still find Wiley's house
Riding on my bike with eyes closed
I could name every girl that he took out
And from my memory, dial his house phone
Can you take me back when we were just kids
Who weren't scared of getting older? (yeah, yeah)
'Cause no one knows you like they know you
And no one probably ever will
You can grow up, make new ones
But truth is there's nothing like old friends
'Cause you can't make old friends (mm, yeah)
I can still feel the windows down
Listening to Jimmy Eat World
Riding 3-wide on Blake's bench seat (yeah)
My God, it's been ten years now
I would have his back tomorrow
And he'd still fight anyone who tried to touch me
Can you take me back when we were just kids
Who weren't scared of getting older? (yeah, yeah)
'Cause no one knows you like they know you
And no one probably ever will
You can grow up, make new ones
But truth is there's nothing like old friends
The typical, regional boathouses. Some have been converted into holiday apartments.
Röbel an der Müritz. Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany.
The most striking attraction in Brisbane, Australia. The Story Bridge. Brave tourists;) can also climb it.
The Eisenhower Executive Office Building, D.C.
The building—originally called the State, War, and Navy Building because it housed the Departments of State, War, and the Navy—was built between 1871 and 1888 in the French Second Empire style. It was designed by Alfred B. Mullett, Supervising Architect. Patterned after French Second Empire architecture that clashed sharply with the neoclassical style of the other Federal buildings in the city, it was generally regarded with scorn and disdain, and the architect of the exterior, Alfred B. Mullett, ended his life in litigation and suicide. The OEOB was referred to by Mark Twain as "the ugliest building in America." Harry Truman called it "the greatest monstrosity in America." Historian Henry Adams called it Mullett's “architectural infant asylum.”

I had once again a slight non productive month in the way of Photography in November 2022.
So I decided to share a capture from a series I took in Decembre 2022 instead.
One of my hardships in life is that I never sleep. Due to chronique pain in my life... I have gone for years without a healthy amount of sleep nightly. An although it plaques me and is reeking havoc to my longterm health.
I did learn to work with and around this issue.
When the moment I picked up a camera and started to teach myself the wonderful (albeit sometimes hard ;-) ) world of photography.
I found an outlet to release my nightime restlessness of never sleeping. And I found a way to get through the pains of my nights.
And although it's not for everyone... Not being able to sleep has it's advantages when it comes to doing photography. I use driving as a form of therapy to calm the nerves and relax the body. And though even if it doesn't help in the way of pain management... it does allow you to go around at night in the cities, towns and country roads and see things so few people ever see or even know about.
When you add being an avid photographer to the mix... You can capture so many unexpected and magical night time scenes. Or see Nature's nocturnal side alive and well and so wonderfully active, all from the window of your car.
With the added bonus of NO traffic and nobody on the roads... It makes for a wonderful relaxing and visual photographic experience, driving around between the hours of 1am to 5am.
For that (and that only..) I and so grateful to be able to occasionally physically drive myself around at night and capture beautiful scenes such as this!!
Although between you and me... I wish I could sleep too! :'(
...embedded a plastic paper weight cube. Captured for Macro Mondays theme : keepsake. HMM everyone!
I was a participant in the negotiations of this agreement in 1979-1980. It was a longterm water sales agreement between the City of Portland Water Bureau and several nearby water districts. These paper weights were made to commerate the signing of the agreements.
A beautiful scenery, which I discovered rather by chance while hiking, and my heart as a real waterfall fan beat faster...
Meine neue Serie "nachtfarben": Die Impressionen sind in der Dunkelheit im Langzeitmodus entstanden. Ich mag die Fehler, das Licht und die Tonalität der Nachtfarben. weekly52.de/artwork/nachtfarben
I took the impressions in the darkness in long-term mode. I like the imperfections, the light and the tonality of the colours.
This squirrel was just hilarious! It was so delighted with this single pecan, that it could not decide where to stash it! It ran from one spot to another, burying it, then changing its mind and digging it up again. It finally went back to the first place it had put it, then dug, and shoved, and finally covered it with leaves!
