I received my new 70-200 f2.8 IS in the post this morning and thought I would try it out. I have had it's smaller brother the f4 IS which is a great lens but I was always looking for more light. The new lens weights a ton and will take some getting used to but I was amazed that I was able to take the above shot hand held (great IS). I will have to join the gym soon !! After carrying this around all day I can see where Canon got their name from - It should be on wheels !!

HELP NEEDED PLEASE!
I broke a pin which connects to the lens and my 18-155 mm doesn't work with my camera anymore.. I needed to give my camera to the service.. If you know any service centers in Boston Area, please let me know... (I didn't get good results when i googled it..)
It's so stupid how i broke the pin.. I had put my f1.8 50mm down and some plastic has came out which i didn't notice it when i mounted my lens. That small plastic has stuck and didn't allow me to take the lens out.. So I was little hard while removing which has eventually broke the pin and also my 50mm lens.. :(
So if you ever put you lens down make sure the the internal part of lens where we mount it with camera is clean.. else you may have to loose your camera.. :(
We got away for some R&R these holidays and headed up the north coast. As normal, I headed out early each morning to take advantage of the nice views Coffs Harbour had to offer.
Finding this club, where James' friend was performing was a feat in itself...We walked around the streets near Shinjuku San Choume Station ( Tokyo's gay district) for at least an hour.
Good night out though, good Jazz music.
