So as I was walking through this one horse town, I come across Charley (Charley Horse). I said to Charley as he greeted me at the fence (HFF). "I am hungry, hungry as a horse". "Where might a man get a bite to eat"? He said "Downtown". There you have it.... straight out the horses mouth.. I took his advice because they say you should never look a gift horse in the mouth. And you would not want to back the wrong horse. Happy Fence Friday.... even

Wishing folks on both sides of the border a great long weekend! In a few days I'm about to hit the highway on a 3 week long trip that will take me through several states and provinces between here and the Rockies. The time on the road will probably just fly by, you'll hardly even notice i'm gone :)

Ahhhhh long weekends.

My son and I went for a drive in the country today, through Niagara on the Lake. I love the air, it smells different. The country just sounds different as well. No buzzing lawnmowers, car horns, or squeeling teenagers... just birds and the wind in the trees.

We stopped at this great little orchard market and relaxed in the sun with some fresh rasberries, shortbread cookies, and yummy salads.

Such a lovely day with my monkey.

The temps are soaring and the weather is brilliant. With temps of 19c on Easter Sunday, we are basking in almost summer weather for us on the wet coast.

This is a river otter not a sea otter. River otters spend a lot of time on land. Sea otters hardly never! They feed, sleep and procreate in the ocean!

Started painting the other day and all last night. Put up paint in the dining room and I hate the color...it's suppose to be a beige but it looks very yellow and reminds me of the institution yellow that use to be in the bathroom which is now a nice green. Have a great long weekend (for Canadians) and a great weekend (for non-Canadians).

Colour ---> tirquoise - celebrating it in winter!

Life saver ---> this pair of gloves with a fleece lining! They are attached to a long woolen cord, so I didn't have to worry about storing or loosing them.

Saw this mate and thought of you

Went up to the in-laws for a mini-vacation on the long weekend to Meaford and then to Southampton. I've always seen this sign in Arthur on the way up and I finally stopped to get a shot.
