Canary Wharf's Crossrail Bridge. I've reprised an older image here, adjusted tonality and removed unwanted shadows to try and perfect this shot.

Following on from my last post, here’s one taken of the Millennium Bridge but this time after having shuffled a bit to the right. Title says it all I suppose.

I looked up and took the shot with The Scalpel on the left, its sharp lines and reflective glass standing out against the sky. Next to it, the Lloyd’s Building showed off its exposed steel and external lifts, giving it a more rugged and mechanical feel. Together they created a strong contrast; one sleek and modern, the other industrial and unapologetically complex.

Architecture in London: City View From St Paul's
Popped into London for a spell of Olympus action in the capital. Decided to climb to the top of St Paul's. Light was OK and we reeled f a few [actually more than a few] shots; and then off we went. With time to catch the train approaching I was convinced to climb to the top of St Paul's for a second time - to catch the sun set. Didn't actually foresee the prospect of any type of sunset. I was wrong. The clods broke and we had some pleasing golden light. It was worth the sore calves the following day!

St Paul's Cathedral, London, is an Anglican cathedral, the seat of the Bishop of London and the mother church of the Diocese of London. It sits on Ludgate Hill at the highest point of the City of London.
Address: St. Paul's Churchyard, London EC4M 8AD
Construction started: June 21, 1675

The street is famous as the site of the Bank of England; the bank itself is often called 'the Old Lady of Threadneedle Street' and has been based at its current location since 1734
I work in the building right next to this so I see it every day. For this reason i don't really tend to take any photos of it as I'm so used to it. But there you go, they say familiarity breeds contempt...
Another photo of the brutalist car park in Welbeck Street, Central London behind Debenham's in Oxford Street, built in 1970.
Photo taken in heavy rain.
Update April 2019: This building is, sadly, currently in the process of being demolished.
Like many of the great (hidden) London landmarks, this came to my attention via the photostream of the awesome Fred Adams.
He did an excellent LE version of this. I hope he'll forgive me following so closely in his footsteps.
My attempt, although similar in composition, is handheld and hopefully sufficiently different in processing style that I can avoid accusations of outright plagiarism :)
Cheers Fred!
I took the opportunity to go out and play with my camera while my wife was doing the 10k Shine Walk for Cancer Research. Had to take the iconic Millennium Bridge with St.Pauls in the background didn't I, why wouldn't you.

What could be a street camera on Oxford Street, Central London, adjacent to a new building in Ramillies Place. For my earlier photo of the same building, press here.
The walk up the 500-odd steps to the Golden Gallery of St Paul's is all made worthwhile with views such as this one...
Love the light trails from the aircraft over the Cheesegrater.

Balfron Tower in London's East End. Completed in 1967 and about to be refurbished. Architect: Erno Goldfinger. My over processed photo brings out the texture, the austerity and, maybe, the beauty of thus residential building - September 2014.
