Cass Scenic RR Engine 11 - West Virginia logging locomotive now operated by the West Virginia State Park system - My one and only visit to Cass in June, 2006 was on a day of fog and heavy rain.
Caption: 1955. Carrying a log up from the beach to the building site. A distance of 250 yards and up hill all the way. Only a few were carried in this manner, most of the logs were hauled on a two wheeled cart pulled by the dogs.
