On the trip to Lake Itasca State Park that Sophia, Olivia, and I took during the first week of September. It was our annual "Not Back to School Trip."
Logs in the swamp. (I'm getting bored)
Sure wish I had a cute little grandchild to take pictures of....
I bought in 2 cubic metres of wood today. This isn't even half of it! The reason? Rocketing electricity bills and a nasty winter (why oh why didn't I get this wood 3 months ago?) plus I needed a reason to sit on my white fur rug and listen to Barry White...
the sign said "fira de Saint Lucia" and i assumed fira meant fire (cause fire log?) but apparently fira means fair. I tried to look up what the log is but havent made headway on it yet. the log was labeled it was tio something, and they had a line for kids to hit his fence with sticks... I don't understand still. although there was also other weird stuff here like a lady covered in fake flowers and a bronze statue man sooo... maybe it's not supposed to make sense?
Logs are fed in from the holding pond on the O-gauge, three-rail layout by Model Rail Scenes (modelrailscenes.com) at the Amherst Railroad Hobby Show.
