Tree trimmers have lef the odd log about on Moor Park in recent years, and since the park is a treasure house of fungi they get more or less eaten up after a year or two
Once the residence for a family on the high desert plains of Nevada. Now it is abandoned and left to the elements.
My little friendly chiffchaff made another appearance...I'm sure he just likes his picture taken...lol

These logs were piled by the side of 4th concession of Dalhousie Twp., Lanark County, Ontario, Canada.
Adults and children alike wanted to pile every available log onto the campfire in one sitting. We had to teach the lesson of saving for tomorrow.
Made a third visit to the Bird Log at Capulin Spring. Started early to avoid the hard shadows of mid-morning. Very satisfying session and great way to finish our respite in New Mexico. Now back to Florida to face the defrosted steaks and dark humid and hot house. Hoping that power will be restored soon!
