Fallen log looking a bit like a dog's head. Note that the usual tiny stream to the right has been joined by a new stream, on what doubles as the footpath!
The logs are stacked via a mechanical claw, first two heaps are created, then 4 logs angled across these two piles to create a frame for a large stack of logs. Ingenious!
I logged onto the technet, sure I'd find what I was looking for amongst the bits and bytes of the new cyberfrontier. I was immediately bombarded with advertisments for sex enhancement chips and get-rich-quick moneymaking schemes. Doesn't matter how advanced civilisation becomes, shysters will always hawk their shit where it's not wanted.
Ever wonder what it takes to build a log house. These are pictures of the entire construction of our house from October 2006 to Nov 2007. It might take me a few days to put them all up, so if you're looking at these as I am posting them, check back for the rest.
I'll add these all to me log home set, so it might be easier to click that set to the right and go from there (I'll try to get them in order the best I can).
If you have any questions about the construction, feel free to ask. I was there pretty much everday and then I was there everyday after I fired our general contractor and had to finish his work myself.

Log Cabin Blanket for a friend of mine. It ended up being only 48 x 50 inches, but I pretty much ran out of time :(. I think that should be a nice size for an afghan though. I've already cast on another log cabin, as I find the ease of them addictive!
