Illustrated wall at the tearoom, by my very talented friend Nicola. (www.nicolanash.blogspot.com) We have the tide time everyday as the tide at Tollesbury is often very high and can flood the road outside!!! Looks absolutely stunning, but some cars may not be too happy!!
Loft's Candies was founded by William Loft in 1860. By 1920 it was the largest retail chain in the country. In 1931 the Loft Candy Co. bought Pepsi-Cola, which had gone bankrupt earlier that year. Loft's Candies began to decline in the 1980s and all stores were closed by the mid-1990s.
This sign was uncovered when an awning was removed in 2016.
This is a downtown loft I designed for a young chiropractor who wanted a sleek, modern space. This is the narrow hallway that leads to the main living area.... I had the wall painted black and added halogen track lighting to accent the art- instant gallery

I've gotten a lot of questions about the furniture I used for this set! I bought most of it on Ebay and then spray painted the pieces before assembly!
I made the bed and couches with foam board and sample materiel that I bought from Joanne's Fabric!

Can be copied and modified
The box contains the textures I used for this construction, so you can, if you wish, use them to modify different parts according to your taste.

Position the rezzer in the center of the area where you want to build.

I should start getting worried, this is the second picture in a row I've decapitated my sister...
As I still don't have any proper lighting I used my mac's screen and desk lamp as the light source.
" An economic downturn in the 1980s left many downtown office and warehouse buildings vacant. Twenty years later, developers are snatching up these buildings to create residential living space, as most of these older office buildings are no longer suitable for modern offices. Over 30 historic buildings in downtown (and the immediate vicinity) have been or are being converted to apartments, lofts, and condominiums. These buildings offer residents not only convenient downtown living, but also a part in preserving Dallas' history and character."
Mitchell Loft is one of them.
In 1999, Ron Wommack turned once was old cotton gin to 79 units loft with a courtyard original structure kept and exposed.
He reused materials salvaged from old buildings as much as possible for the remodeling.
My fav part is this courtyard giving a special character to this place but also place for art or socialize in many occasions.
The remodeling won a Preservation Dallas Achievement Award in 2000.
© All rights reserved Bastian Groove - Mamiya 7 II - 50mm - Kodak Porta 100 Tungsten - A friend of mine did a good share of the design and construction supervision while doing an internship at a Berlin archictecture firm. The blue structure is a toilet and an attached shower. Parts of the kitchen-island, the bathtub, the bed, nearly everthing but the Toilet is designed to be easy movable (i.e. on wheels). We intensified the atmosphere with some auxiliary floodlights. Enjoy it and do me a favor and watch this in large for the details.
