Lock on the ladies loo in Old Parliament House. Took the opportunity to visit the loo whilst checking out the Old House and just had to go back with my camera.
New system of holding the ships to the wall when raising and lowering them in the lock using a vacuum/suction system.

Rusted lock and hasp on sliding wooden door closing prison cell at Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia. The first penitentiary in the United States and the model for more than 300 more worldwide, it was thought that complete isolation would rehabilitate...instead it caused inmates to go insane.
Lock and hasp-1
Graffiti wall at Stop 'n' Lock, 3636 Linden Avenue, Dayton Ohio. On 2008.06.14, overgrown with weeds. Why don't the taggers use the full canvas, to the top?
Damn weeds!
Barely half a step ahead of no lock at all. It's not tied to anything. It's long enough to slip over the seat, so is only connected to the rack. And yes, the blue part is 100% plastic. The bike is probably less than US$50 new, so is cheaper than a quality lock I guess.

Lock 48 is one of the Four Locks on the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal that are located near Clear Spring, Maryland.
This is Enlarged Erie Canal Lock 58 in Newark, NY. It was a double chamber lock built around 1841. This shot, taken from the west end, is looking down into the lock. Here you can see the south wall of the north chamber as well as the central overflow inlets on the central section of the lock. It was called " the middle lock", as it was the middle lock of the three locks on the Enlarged Erie Canal that were located close to each other in Newark, NY, which at that time was called Lockville. To the far right you will also notice the roof next to the center section, that roof covers the entire length of the south chamber which is being used by a scrap metal company as a storage garage..... ( at this point I will refrain from saying how much that annoys me.....oops, did I just say it ? ). Lock 58 is located off Route 31 on Lyons Street in Newark, NY.
