LOCK-DOWN

In many ways it seems that LOCKDOWN has not totally passed by although we are still getting our boosters, for those that are in bad health or over 75. Currently in the GB (14-07-2022) there are over 2.7 million people with Covid, so contagion fully in check.

These following images were taken at a time when full lockdown was in place and things were very different. However this is the last of the postings.

These two characters were tied to a tree and left by a family to support the neighbourhood in those trying times.

Southport pier Jan 2021. The eerie stillness of lockdown in the grip of a global pandemic (it was bloody freezing cold too!) Let's hope for better days ahead

3 weeks in lockdown now and it's just been announced that there will be at least another three weeks on lockdown, it's getting harder to cope and I am missing photography and sharing images with you. Hope you are healthy and safe.

I'm rather taken to using this little pendant for Macro Monday themes.

This picture is an interpretation of a scene from the second episode of a sweet Netflix series "Emily in Paris" and a link to the song "Summer in Paris" by Bea Parks www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjvdpl9MdIo from the first episode. I watched the series last year while stuck at home and feeling nostalgic for a time we were able to travel.

The Eagle eyed amongst you will notice a big jump in days for lockdown, thats because I got it all wrong on the previous images!!

Anyway I'll torture you all with another bird photo from my garden. For those who don't know this is a Jay. Stunning colours, I love them. Have a lovely weekend all.

Capital City Trail, North Fitzroy, Victoria

We are currently in lockdown here in Melbourne due to a resurgence of COVID-19. We are allowed an hour out of home for exercise each day and quite a few (such as myself) are taking the opportunity to explore the byways of our city such as the Capital City Trail which is a shared pathway going through some of our parks and along some of our waterways, the Yarra River in particular. I didn't see many cyclists when I went out the other day but plenty of pedestrians. In this picture, we are near Rushall Station in North Fitzroy.

A gate to nowhere.

Happy Mono Monday, everyone! Today is a good day to practice a new skill. Hope your day is bright one!

This the side door, I was drawn by the diagonal joinery and detail in the door as well as the visual metaphor for our potential second lockdown.

Happy days!

Permitted activities each evening, going for a drive and walking. This evening we visited Shifnal, Shropshire where I had been told there were Poppy fields.
