KDHX Community Media, The Whitaker Foundation and Tower Grove Farmers' Market are pleased to announce that The Linemen will be playing at Harvest Sessions Saturday, October 13. The Linemen incorporate modern influences to create a lush, Americana sound that shows the bittersweet side of country. The concert will take place at the West Pool Pavillion in Tower Grove Park from 10:00 a.m. until noon. With the regular sesson of Tower Grove Farmers' Market drawing to a close, don't miss one of your last chances to enjoy Harvest Sessions at Tower Grove Farmers' Market.

This collaborative spirit translates to exceptional live performances and exhibits leadsinger Kevin Buterfield's bittersweet lyrics and skyhigh voice. Since the release of the band's debut full length CD, Through Side One, in early 2007 The Linemen have been have been gaining well-deserved recognition that has resulted in being named on St. Louis Magazine's A-List as "New Musical Act".

Harvest Sessions is an ongoing music series that takes place at Tower Grove Farmers' Market every Saturday at Tower Grove Park. This inauguaral year of Harvest Sessions has proven a great success with many of St. Louis' best bands playing intimate shows for market goers. All concerts are free and open to the public.

Eamon O’Dohery is well known in Ireland having more than 40 large public sculptures worldwide with 30 of them located throughout Ireland. To the best of my knowledge there are six pieces in Dublin including the Golden Tree at Central Bank Plaza, James Connolly Memorial at Butt bridge and the famous ‘Floozy in the Jacuzzi’.

When I saw this 1988 sculpture in 2009 it was in very poor condition and because of rust and age the parts that should move in the wind did not move at all. Since then I have paid little attention to it but today while in the area I noticed that it looked fresh and new.

I had not known that Anne McGill [a local artist] had organised to have the installation restored.
