We spent weeks at anchor off Thailand, loading Tapioca from a series of barges. The Tapioca came onboard in sacks, and a huge workforce was needed to empty the bags into the massive holds. All the local workers lived on deck in temporary tents.

I've wanted to scrap this since last year and I'm glad that I finally had the chance! I also love that I was able to use both stamps & dies from Papertrey on this layout. I love utilizing supplies in more than one way.

Journaling reads:

"The fourth of July was awesome! Jon & I grilled out on the patio - mini burgers & I made patriotic snacks. We spent time together & then drove to the Breckenridge parking lot for some late night fireworks - they were incredible! Such a fun day celebrating and remembering."

Additional detailed photos are in my feed.

Thanks for looking!

Terrible timing on my part. About 6 shop stewards were loading this taxi with identical bags, and it looked pretty wild, but I missed my chance. I guess I was too far away anyway.

F is for Five Things

1) cardstock

2) pictures

3) patterned paper

**that is three standard elements for me **

4) rhinestone title

5) decorative brads

100 Moo MiniCards take up a lot of space. But they're so awfully cute and cool, and when they're back in their little plastic box, they easy enough to lug around.

After a long holiday back home, it's time to load them up and head back to the cities.

Graffiti artists commissioned by the Royal Albert Hall, in partnership with the young urban collective and creative pioneers Daydream Network, transformed the walls of the Hall's Loading Bay, usually used for getting in over 350 shows a year, into a gallery of street art and graffiti artwork.

This was the quickest LO i ever did.

I'm not sure of the exact time probably 20-25 minutes to do the actual LO, but from the time i walked into my craft room to the finished product was just over 30 minutes, that included collecting supplies, a trip back upstairs to ask DH what the name of the moth was, etc.

Distress? Did someone say DISTRESS? I love to distress, but it's one of those things I sometimes forget about - like rounding corners. So on this page I distressed everything!!! HOWEVER, I am 97% anti-photo distressing. Even though the pictures are digital, it still bothers me.

So here's what I did: 1. rubbed my Heidi Swapp Edge-Distresser around 12x12 CS. 2. Ripped out two rectangles of lavender CS. 3. Rubbed MM distressing block over lavender (textured) CS and outside of 12x12 to smooth edges a bit. 4. Mixed a light grey paint and painted edges of 12x12 and a little around border. Painted chipboard letters. Oh yeah, and my favorite part: I flicked the paint onto the purple 12x12. This was fun but challenging due to the fact that I was using a FOAM BRUSH! Dummy! 5. To adhere the letters, I used my favorite dimensional "adhesive": more chipboard! 6. After writing the journaling, I sorta wish I had done it on the back. Darn.

Another planner page. My 6yo learning to ride her bike without the training wheels! :(

Who Woulda Thunk Thursday-Found Photo

Found these old photos in a photo album my mom had made of my childhood. I think I'll add a title..but journaling says:

A summer time picnic with neighbors, the Laktiewiczs. We were at Halibut Point in Rockport MA...August 1963...I was 4 years old!

Halibut Point was a fun state park. You'd walk a mile or so through blueberry bushes to the rocks by the ocean to set up for the picnic. We went there often throughout the years!

Loading and Unloading passengers from the Railcar

After the wheat is cut, it is loaded onto trucks to be taken to the seed plant for cleaning.

From the rear showing the pusher prime mover and an indication of the length of this combination. One Prime Mover is still attached at the front but another two have uncoupled at this rest stop because of parking limits. Total Weight of the whole thing is about 440 Tonnes. Load is about 190 Tonnes.

Note: Cabin on rear of carrier for operator to steer carrier.

Carrier has 160 Tyres on road add 4 Prime movers with ten each equals 200 Tyres.

Load up for the race, brutha.

Got behind these Amish fellows on my way to Marvin's Gardens. This was taken through the car windshield, so if you see any bug spots, you'll know why!! Also took out about four BIG electric poles, to make it look more natural! Wish I could have gotten a shot from the front!

Aboard the Gabriola Island Ferry

For today´s challenge I tried to be aware of my process. I chose a story I wanted to tell (how my boyfriend knows how to cheer me up when I´ve had a bad day), I first selected a picture where he is acting funny in front of the camera, then I chose my products and my layout design and finally I wrote my story.

Since the other day I wasn´t able to do a layout with themed products I combined both challenges today. For this layout I used a December Studio Calico kit (Orchestra) that was filled with christmas patterned papers and embellishments. I´m not sure if the layout came out to christmasy, what do you think?
