My friend and I once spent 10 hours talking to another friend on the phone- we were probably about 14 at the time. I don't have any photos but I do remember my phone was lime and hers was pink.... so I decided to draw the story. :-)
Rig Mat Systems' access mats being loaded for shipment.
Rig Mat System's access mats are made from CLT, and are lighter, stronger, and more durable than their counter parts.
For the family who were wondering what I was up to - sorry I didn't get you all in but hope you found the pictures OK.
Dan Rowan loads SCUBA gear onto the small boat suspended next to the Seward Johnson. Dan is an undergraduate student being mentored by Dr. Joshua Voss.
As soon as the Newfoundland dogs saw the boats it was hard for the handlers to pull them back such was the enthusiasm to get on board.
Day 1 Prompt: It's a Matter of Taste, Scrap about food...
Journaling Reads:
As St. Patrick’s Day, 2011 approached, my heart was heavy. This would be the first St. Patrick’s Day where I wouldn’t be able to call my dad and ask him to make some corned beef and cabbage for me as I had done for so many years in the past. Having lost a parent herself, Mair knew how hard this first year without him would be. To boost my spirits, she offered to throw a St. Patrick’s Day EVE party, complete with corned beef and cabbage. Look at the joy in her face as she stirs the pot! She is a fabulous cook, a self-taught chef, and an amaaaaazing hostess. The corned beef and cabbage (plus potatoes) were out of this world! She told me later that night that she felt Bennie’s presence as she prepared the meal through out the day. I could truly feel his love and warmth shining through the food. Being surrounded by this compassionate crowd and the ultimate comfort food (Hello! Guinness chocolate cupcakes, I love you!), made the loss of my dad easier to bear on this first St. Paddy’s without him here. Thank you Laura, Mair, Shelley, and Amy for lifting me up with your food and bevvies. 3/16/11
The closest I could come to a Woodstock inspired layout. We bought our youngest son a digital drum kit for his birthday. I am not sure that I am going to bother with any journaling on this page. Will probably end up doing a complementary page for his other presents and cake pictures...so maybe I'll journal there.
Layout is based on a sketch from the July 2013 PageMaps issue. Same with yesterday's sketch...which I forgot to mention.
So bummed that I didn't get to spend more time today scrapping. Looking forward to May LOAD already :)
